What does Lynn Brown's students have to say?
Judy and Dancer - The natural horsemanship classes with Lynn Brown were invaluable in building my relationship and rapport… with my horse Dancer. Lynn has given me the tools and techniques to be able to communicate clearly and consistently with Dancer. I always felt that Dancer and I were just speaking different languages and our relationship was hindered by our lack of communication. Lynn has helped us develop a good foundation and now we both are speaking a common tongue- the language of the horse. As a result Dancer has become calmer and more trusting of me and his environment overall. He has even shown me his playful side which was buried beneath his worrisome nature.
I am looking forward to using what Lynn has taught me to continue exploring and building my relationship with this great horse. The course Lynn teaches is truly transforming and I would highly recommend it to all who seek a better relationship with their horse.
Thank you for all you have done for us!

Kathy and Molly - I went for a ride this morning and it did present me with some opportunities to work with Molly. The ride went along very smoothly until …we got close to home. There is a gate that we have to ride around and we can either go right to get home or left to continue the ride. Sometimes, as I approach this gate, Molly can get excited and prance, head tossing, you know, the whole b---- attitude (which I now recognize). When she started pulling this tantrum stuff today, I took her up a slight hill and found an open area with lots of trees to circle around. We spent time doing that, went down hill and approached the gate again. She was still on right brain. I then decided to flex her right and left and didn't stop until her feet stopped moving and she was able to stand still for me and relax. We then went around the gate with no problem and turned left. She wanted to go right but quietly followed my decision. She picked up speed on the way back home and I settled her down with first a gentle finger pull-left rein, right rein. If that didn't work, I was more convincing and brought her head around slightly alternating between left and right. I felt quite proud of myself because not once did she intimidate me with her antics. I felt I knew what I needed to get a safe ride out of her and that included breathing :-)
Thanks to you!!

What makes Lynn’s
teaching style both
powerful and effective?
 |
"If I train your horse, he learns to respect ME which does nothing to change his perception of YOU. Your horse alone now posses the new knowledge which will only translate temporarily into new behaviors... However, when I empower you with the knowledge to communicate like a leader with your horse, he will also learn to willingly honor your ideas and respect your leadership. No one can take that away from you.“ |
